Sidney Saeger, now a Floridian, spent most of her life in Michigan. Retirement has allowed her to indulge in the tranquility of Florida's parks, sloughs, and wildlife refuges, shaping her creative landscapes. Sidney's fascination with children's literature ignited during a college course, leading to a lifelong collection of books. Her personal interests extend to watercolor painting, which she finds both relaxing and enjoyable. Her love for nature and storytelling coalesce in her short story, Don’t Go Past the Big Palm Tree, a rhyming narrative designed for early readers, yet can be enjoyed by older children as a sing-song poetry. Although she had aspirations and a degree to teach, Sidney spent 20 years of her career working as a manager for Northwest Airlines as an operations manager and then joined Erickson Living, a senior living management company where she worked for another 19 years. Now retired, has the time to explore her writing and painting. She holds a bachelor degree in Education and a masters in Organizational Development.
